Dogs need to play. Many dogs are left for many long hours alone and are totally board out of their mind. Of course it is not surprising that many of them become destructive. This is why a dog needs a good toy to keep him interested in other channels than eating your best sofa. The kong toy is a kind of rubber ball that bounces off in different directions. The kong comes in different colors, black being the hardest and longest lasting, and the red is also very tough but a little softer and possibly more enjoyable. Kongs are safe toys and can be used in many ways. They can be used for training purposes, or for tiring your dog out by throwing and getting your dogs to fetch. Another good use is stuffing them with food before leaving home, and that should keep your dogs busy for a while. Remember, control the game - control your dog: playing games with dogs can require guidance, it is certainly worthwhile to learn different ways to play with your dog.
