Dogs get overheated very quickly. Here in Israel the weather is very hot indeed, and it is vital to keep dogs cool. Never leave a dog in a closed car, and don't t ever try to train your dog when the weather gets too hot. If your dog is panting at a rapid pace and tongue is a blue color cool the dog down as quickly as possible by pouring cold water (never ice cold) and get your dog as quickly as possible to a vet or vet hospital even better. Even if your dog appears to have recovered, damage may have occurred and your dog should get medical assistance immediately. So keeping your dogs cool this summer is the cool thing today.
